Memerial Day vs Veterans' Day

Many people confuse Memorial Day with elements of Veterans’ day. Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. Veterans Day is largely intended to thank living veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to United States national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.

While we are all out enjoying Memorial Day, let's take a few moments during the day to remember those who gave their lives and paid the ultimate price for our Freedom. Sometimes we get too wrapped up with celebrating the holiday, we forget the real reason for the holiday.

To those who've perished in service to our great nation, my Family and I appreciated your sacrifice. You are in our thoughts and payers. We think of the family and friends you've left behind and pray for them as well.

CodeGears new Website

CodeGear has a new look to their website go to http://www.codegear.com to have a look for yourself.

When Nick Hodges first displayed the new CodeGear logo, I was not a supporter; however, as Michael Swindell pointed out, you had to look at the whole site in order to appreciated the new logo and branding. I see what he means now and I would agree, it does look really nice. Its a bit edgy, bold, and somewhat evocative (The color red does that). It screams hardcore.

All in all I really like it. There are a few things I might tweak like a darker orange and maybe gray instead of silver for readability purposes (some notebook LCD's will not render those colors well). The layout is simple and straightforward and uncluttered. Makes for finding things much easier.

Its a bold new look for a bold new brand. Your comments on the new website are welcome.
